Getting started

  1. Install Mint Wishlist from the Shopify App Store.
  2. On the app's home page click Turn on next to "Turn on the app embed", make sure Mint Wishlist is switched on under App embeds, and click Save. Hearts appear on your product cards and a wishlist link appears next to the cart.
  3. Click Add button. Your product template opens with the Wishlist button block; drag it near the buy buttons and click Save.
  4. Your wishlist page is at /apps/wishlist. Add it to your menu under Online Store → Navigation if you like (choose "Web address" and enter /apps/wishlist).

How lists are kept

  • Guests: the list is stored in the shopper's browser. It stays on that device.
  • Signed-in customers (Pro): the list is saved to their account, so it's the same on every device. Anything they saved before signing in is added to their account automatically. Each account can hold up to 200 items.
  • Sharing (Pro): the wishlist page has a Share wishlist button that creates a private, read-only link.

Common questions

Hearts don't appear on my product cards. Check that the app embed is on in your live theme. The app recognises Dawn, Horizon and most themes; if yours is different, open the theme editor → App embeds → Mint Wishlist and enter a CSS selector that matches one product card (for example .product-card) under "Theme compatibility". Email us and we'll find the right selector for you.

The wishlist link isn't in my header. It's placed just before your cart icon. If your theme's header is unusual, choose "Floating button" in the app embed settings, or enter the selector of your cart icon.

Shoppers see "The wishlist can't save more items right now". On the Free plan the store can take 100 new saves per calendar month. Saved items stay; new saves resume on the 1st, or right away when you upgrade to Pro.

I changed the app proxy URL. The wishlist lives at /apps/wishlist. If you changed that path under Apps → Mint Wishlist → App proxy, change it back.

Prices on the wishlist page. The page is rendered by your theme, so prices, currency and availability are always live.

For theme developers

The script exposes window.MintWishlist (items(), count(), has(productId), add({p, v}), remove(productId)) and fires a mint-wishlist:change event on document. Any element with data-mw-count shows the current count.

Billing

The Free plan includes the product page button, card hearts, header link, the wishlist page and guest wishlists, with up to 100 saves a month. Pro is billed through Shopify at $7.99/month after a 7-day free trial and adds unlimited saves, lists saved to customer accounts, share links, the most-wishlisted report and custom styling. Cancel anytime from the app's Plans page or by uninstalling.

Privacy

See our privacy policy. In short: guest lists stay in the shopper's browser, and for signed-in customers we store only their Shopify customer ID and product IDs.
